Obasanjo, Wike, Obi, allies meet in London.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi and the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Thursday met in London.
Details of the meeting were not disclosed, but the meeting might not be unconnected with plans for the presidential election in 2023 .
Benue state governor Samuel Ortom , Oyo State counterpart Governor Seyi Makinde , Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, were among those who attended the meeting. They were mostly allies of Wike.
Presidential candidate of All Progressives party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had a meeting with Wike and his associates in London on Wednesday to discuss how Wike could join the APC or support his candidacy.
Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, is expected to meet Wike in London on Thursday evening to resolve their differences following Atiku’s nomination of running mate.
