Teenager in trouble for attempting to sell someone’s property.

One 19-year-old Rawa Toluwalase, who allegedly attempted to sell a bus belonging to another person, on Monday appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.

The defendant was charged on one count but he pleaded not guilty before the Magistrate, Mr Ademola Adesanya.

The prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 19 at the Aiyetoro area of Ojo.

He said that the teenager unlawfully took custody of a commercial Volkswagen bus belonging to one Mr Paul Dobri and put it up for sale.

He noted that the bus was marked LSD 370 XR.

According to the prosecutor, the defendant had showcased the bus for sale before he was arrested.

The alleged offence contravenes the provision of Section 406 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The court granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case has been adjourned until April 14 for mention.
