Chief of Army Staff, 7 others die in Kaduna plane crash.
The newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and seven others died on Friday evening when a military Beachcraft 350 aircraft crashed near the Kaduna International Airport.
In a statement,the Nigeria Airforce Director of Public Relations and Information, Edward Gabkwet, said the aircrash occurred near the Kaduna International Airport.
“An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft occurred this evening near the Kaduna International Airport. The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon,” the statement said.
THIS IS NEWS gathered that the 54 year-old Attahiru and all the seven others who were top military officers with him in the aircraft died about 6pm.
